The TNA/OVW Partnership In Tweets
There was quite a buzz on Twitter this week regarding the recent news that OVW is now the official developmental territory of TNA. For the most part, the news triggered positive responses from those associated with the two promotions as well as pro-wrestling fans.

To clear the air for the many who have asked. Jim Cornette left the position as matchmaker of OVW to concentrate on Ring of Honor full time a little less then a year ago. Though he has appeared on OVW TV since. Those appearances were in support of the product and not as a member of management.

SHELBIN'S SLANT: Interestingly enough, there was not much from TNA and in particular Eric Bischoff or Hulk Hogan. The OVW talent that did comment seemed to really look forward to the opportunity to perhaps make an appearance on Impact. When I heard the news earlier in the week, I watched some video of recent OVW shows on their site and have to admit, although the production is indie, there are quite a few talented wrestlers on their roster. Some of them even have the sort of star quality that could really help TNA in the future. The wrestlers who I thought would make a nice addition to TNA's roster are Alex Silva (still a bit young but has enormous star potential), Jason Wayne (a star in the making), and Mike Mondo (very athletic for a muscular type). Overall, this is an agreement that will benefit everyone involved including the fans as we get to watch fresh new faces on both Impact and OVW.
